Question : LOAN BY KVIC IN KERALA



(a): whether the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has sanctioned loans for rural industries in Kerala during the last three years;

(b): if so, the details thereof alongwith the projects sanctioned;and

(c): the training imparted to rural> entrepreneurs in the last three years, year-wise and district-wise?

(a) &(b): The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) does not provide loans to entrepreneurs but extends margin money assistance to entrepreneurs to set up village industry units under the Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) of the Central Government. Under the REGP, banks provide loans to entrepreneurs in combination with margin money assistance from the KVIC. The details of the margin money provided and number of projects sanctioned under the REGP in Kerala during the last three years are given below:
