Question : FORMATION OF STATE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

(a) whether the Union Government propose to form a State Advisory Committee in each State chaired by a Member of Parliament to look after the distribution of foodgrains under Public Distribution System and Antodaya Scheme and also to hold consumer awareness camps in 100 districts in first phase with the help of States Advisory Committees and NGOs;

(b) if so, the latest status of the proposal; and

(c) the time by which this scheme is likely to be implemented?
