Question : PERKS OF FIELD MARSHAL

(a) whether the post and rank of Field Marshal exists in the Army;

(b) if so, the present incumbent holding this post;

(c) whether the Government are adhering to the set norms in granting the holder of such rank adequate privileges and dignities; and

(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(b) The present incumbent holding the rank of Field Marshal is Field Marshal SHFJ Manekshaw, MC.

(c) & (d): All ceremonial privileges and monetary entitlements as per norms have been extended to him.
