(a) whether Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency’s (IREDA) share in the country’s total commissioned New and Renewable Energy (NRE) capacity was 52.8% at the beginning of 10th Five Year Plan which declined to 7.66% at the end of the 11th Five Year Plan;

(a): No, Madam. The share of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) in the country’s total commissioned New and Renewable Energy (NRE) capacity was 25% at the beginning of 10th plan and was 12% at the end of 11th Five Year Plan. However, IREDA’s disbursements for renewable have increased at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 35.29% during the 11th Five Year Plan period as against CAGR of 4.4% during the 10th Five Year Plan period.
