(a) whether final decision on asuggestion to provide foodgrains aspayment of wages under Mahatma GandhiNational Rural Employment GuaranteeScheme (MGNREGS) has been taken bythe Government;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the funds likely to be spent onproviding foodgrains during the next year;and

(d) the extent to which the workers arelikely to be benefited thereby?

(a)& (b): No, Madam, there is no proposal in the Ministry to provide foodgrains as payment of wages under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
