(a) wheter the CBI has received a shot in the arm in the extradition of 1993-Mumbai bomb blasts accused Abu Salem and Monica Bedi from Portugal;
(a) if so, the details in this regard; and
(b) the measures being taken by the Government to get them extradited?

(a), (b) & (c): In the extradition case of Abu Salem and Monica Bedi, the CBI achieved success to the extent the High Court of Portugal passed orders of extradition in the case of Abu Salem on 14.7.2004 and Monica Bedi on 26.11.2003. But both the accused had appealed against the extradition orders in the Supreme Court of Portugal. The matter is subjudice. The CBI is pursuing the extradition cases in the Supreme Court of Portugal.
