Madras High Court; worked as one of the Leaders of the Forward Bloc founded by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose till 1967; associated with All India A.D.M.K.. 1973-79, and after the formation of the party, was its First elected Member of Parliament; General Secretary, Mukkulathor Community, 1957-72; Member, (i) Fifth Lok Sabha, 1973-77 and (ii) Sixth Lok Sahha, 1977-79; was Treasurer, AIADMK Parliamentary Party, 1977-79; presently Whip, D.M.K.
