Working Women Hostels
Under the Scheme of Working Women Hostel, financial assistance is provided to the eligible implementing organizations including State Government agencies and Civil Society Organisations upto 75% of the cost of construction of the hostel building on public land. There is also provision of extending financial assistance for hostels to be run in rented premises. Besides, there is also a provision of one-time non-recurring grant for purchase of furniture at the rate of Rs.7500/- per inmate at the time of commencement of the hostel. Complete proposals fulfilling the guidelines of the Scheme and recommended by the State Level Empowered Committee are placed before the Project Sanctioning Committee of the Ministry for the consideration of the Committee.
