Upgradation of Technical and Entrepreneurial Skills by NMDFC

National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) implements a promotional scheme of Vocational Training for persons belonging to minority communities living below double the poverty line, for of their technical and entrepreneurial skills.

Under this scheme, the candidates belonging to the minority communities are imparted training in various vocational trades. This scheme is implemented by the NMDFC through its State Agencies (SCAs) and the training is imparted through Government owned/recognized institutes. As per the scheme, a training cost of an amount of Rs. 1,000 per candidate per month is provided by NMDFC for training programmes of durations not exceeding six months. NMDFC extends a grant of 85% of the training cost and also provides a stipend of Rs. 500 per month per candidate, undergoing the said training.
