The UPSC has recommended 24 names to fill the remaining vacancies based on Engineering Service Examination, 2003.
In April 2004, the UPSC had recommended the appointment of 230 candidates, and reserved recommendations for 24 candidates. The remaining posts are as follows: -
(i) Civil Engineering Group: 34 candidates, which include 17 General, 16 Other Backward Classes and 01 Schedule Tribe Candidates
(ii) Mechanical Engineering Group: 02 candidates, which include 01 General and 01 Schedule Caste candiates
(iii) Electrical Engineering Group: 10 candidates, which include 05 General, 03 Other Backward Classes and 02 Schedule Caste candidates
(iv) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Group: 04 candidates, which include 02 General and 02 Other Backward Classes candidates
