UPSC Declares Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2004 results

The UPSC has declared the final results of Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2004. The results are on the basis of written examination held in October-November, 2004 and the interviews for Personality Test held in April-May, 2005.

The total number of 422 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Out of these 335 are male and 67 female and in the top 20, 14 are males and 6 are females. 193 candidates have been selected from General category (including 03 physically challenged candidates), 118 from Other Backward Classes, 64 from Scheduled Castes and 47 from Scheduled Tribes category.

The number of vacancies reported by the Government for IAS is 91, for IFS is 20, for IPS is 88, for the Central Services Group ‘A’ is 235 and for Central Services Group ‘B’ is 19.

The result can be obtained from UPSC Facilitation Counter during regular working hours. The results are also available on UPSC website – www.upsc.gov.in.
