A workshop for field communicators of Government of India was inaugurated at IIMC New Delhi today. Regional Heads of Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) and other Media Units are taking part in the two-day workshop. The workshop is intended to further sensitize the field communicators working under the different media units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. These officers are publicizing the policies and programmes of the Government at the grass root level and are required to be sensitized about the priorities and publicity requirements of different Ministries and Departments on a regular basis. Several key Ministries/Departments of Government of India will be showing their presentations to the participants on major policy initiatives/programmes undertaken by them.
Organised by DFP, the workshop was inaugurated by Shri P.K. Tripathi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
