Transfer of CRPF Land

Ministry of Home Affairs has received a proposal from the Government of Maharashtra for exchange of 2.3 hectares land belonging to CRPF with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (Government of Maharashtra Undertaking) for development of a Multi-Modal International Hub Airport at Nagpur, in lieu of an equal land to be given to the CRPF. The Ministry of Home Affairs, in principle, agrees with the request. However, as per existing policy, the proposal is under process for seeking approval of the competent authority.

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju in a written reply to a question by Shri Gopal Shetty in the Lok Sabha today.
