Shri V. Kishore Chandra Deo assumes charge of office as Minister of Panchayati Raj

Shri V. Kishore Chandra Deo assumed the charge of the office as Minister of Panchayati Raj here today. Speaking to newspersons on the occasion he said that he would focus on monitoring the programmes related to the Panchayati Raj Ministry and rectifying the draw backs if any. He looked forward to the collective functioning of the Cabinet form of Government. Specifically he said that he would work together with the Rural Development Ministry and other such Ministries for the better functioning of the Panchayati Raj system. His focus would also be to bring about development and change in the Naxal hit areas.
