Sh Harish Rawat Assumes Charge as Mos Parliamentary Affairs

Shri Harish Rawat has assumed charge as the new Minister of State for Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs today alongwith retaining his portfolio as the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries.

Shri Rawat was first elected to Lok Sabha in 1980 and subsequently in 1984, 1989 as also then to the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009. Prior to his current assignment of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries, he has also been Minister of State for Labour & Employment in 2009. Born on 27th April, 1948 in Uttarakhand, Shri Rawat has also been President of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee.
