Reforming the Administrative System is a priority for the Government – Suresh Pachauri

The Minister of State for Personnel, Shri Suresh Pachauri has said that Reforming the Administrative System is a continuous process and will remain primary objective of the Government in the years to come. He was inaugurating the 30th Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration in the Indian Institute of Public Administration, here today. He said the IIPA plays an important role in this reforming process and they should devise the courses to meet the changing needs of the Administrative System. A cost effective and efficient administration will hasten the process of development, he added.

Shri Suresh Pachauri also released two books titled “Bureaucracy for Public or Hostages of Power” written by Shri K.K. Saxena and “Public Finance in India” written by Dr. Sharda on the occasion.

Others who spoke included the Chairman IIPA and Governor of Karnataka, Shri T.N. Chaturvedi and Director of IIPA, Dr. P.L. Sanjeev Reddy. So far, 850 officers of Group “A” Service have completed this Advanced Professional Programme.
