Railways transport more fertilizers this year

There is no shortages of fertilizers in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Punjab and other States for the harvesting of wheat and other crops as the Indian Railways have carried 8.71 per cent more fertilizers during the current financial year ending October 2004.

The Railways transported 16.23 Million tonnes of fertilizers within the country during April-October 2004, which is 8.71 per cent more than the fertilizers moved by rail during the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Railways are making every possible efforts for loading and movement of fertilizers as per the demand.
