The Minister of State (Independent Charge ) of the Ministry of Power SHRI JYOTIRADITYA M. SCINDIA informed Lok Sabha today that Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) is being implemented in the State of Rajasthan.

In the state of Rajasthan, under Part-A (IT) of R-APDRP projects, Rs. 315.94 Crores have been sanctioned covering all 87 eligible towns in the state and a sum of Rs. 90.5 Crore has been disbursed.

Under Part-A (SCADA) of the scheme, projects worth Rs. 150.90 Crores have been sanctioned for establishment of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System in all 5 eligible towns of Rajasthan and an amount of Rs. 45.27 Crore has been disbursed.

Under Part-B of R-APDRP, projects worth Rs. 1540.41 Crores have been sanctioned in all eligible 82 towns and an amount of Rs. 231.07 Crore disbursed.

Implementation of R-APDRP schemes is to be done by state power utilities by engaging implementing agencies for Part-A from among empanelled agencies through tendering process. Regarding Part-B, state power utilities may engage any outside agency through bidding process or may implement through in house facilities. In the State of Rajasthan Part-A (IT) schemes were sanctioned in February 2009 and were to be completed by February 2012. The schemes are at various stages of implementation. Part-B & Part-A (SCADA) schemes were sanctioned in 2010 and are envisaged to be completed in 2013.

Ministry of Power and Power Finance Corporation (PFC), the Nodal Agency to operationalize the R-APDRP have been monitoring the implementation of the scheme in all the States including Rajasthan at regular intervals and advising state power utilities as and when required.
