Press Note :-By-Election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council by the Members of Legislative Assembly

, who was elected by the Members of Legislative Assembly, has become vacant on 6^th March, 2009, by reason of his resignation, before the expiration of his term of office which was and including the 27^th July, 2012.

In view of the above, the Commission has decided to hold bye-election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council by the Members of Legislative Assembly to fill up the aforesaid vacancy, in accordance with the following : -
