The President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has condoled the passing away of the veteran film director and Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner, Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
In a condolence message, the President has said, “In the passing away of Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee, the Indian film industry has lost a popular filmmaker whose movies moved the audience emotionally. His films were known for their simplicity and examined human nature in all its aspects.”
