National Defence academy and naval academy examination (i), 2006 – final result declared

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2006. 433 candidates have qualified on the basis of the results of the written examination held by the Commission in April, 2006 and the interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 117th Course and Naval Academy 10+2 (Executive Branch) for the 37th course commencing from January, 2007.

There are some common candidates in the three lists for Army, Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. The total number of such candidates in the three lists is 209. The number of vacancies as intimated by the government is 335 (195 for Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for Air Force and 35 for Naval Academy (Executive Branch).

The results of medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional, subject to their submitting the requisite certificates in support of date of birth and educational qualifications etc. claimed by them, to the defence authorities, wherever this has not already been done.

These results will also be available on the UPSC website, i.e. http:///www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available on the website after 30 days from the date of declaration of final results.
