The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) today signed the concession agreement for 6-laning of 225.60 km long Gurgaon- Jaipur Section (km 42.7-km 273.0) of NH-8 in the State of Haryana and Rajasthan under NHDP Phase-V. The project has been awarded on BOT (toll) basis on DBFO (Design-Build-Finance-Operate) pattern.
The total project cost is Rs. 1896.25 Crores and the concession period is 12 years including construction period of two and a half years. The revenue sharing with NHAI by the Concessionaire would be 48% from the appointed date.
There will be service roads on both sides all along the project with adequate provisions for bridges, fly-overs/grade separators, pedestrians under-passes, and automatic traffic counter, variable message signs and closed circuit telephone cameras.
The agreement was signed by NHAI in presence of Shri N. Gokulram, Chairman and other senior officials of NHAI with M/s ETA-KMC Consortium. This is the fifth contract agreement signed by NHAI in last about one month’s time for 6-laning under NHDP Phase-V.
