Medanta, IGEP & CEPC join hands for a healthier Jayapur

For the whole day today, Jayapur, the adopted village of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,  Shri Narendra Modi was abuzz with people seeking health services, as Medanta, Indo German Exports Promotion (IGEP) and Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), Ministry of Textiles, came together for a day long health camp.


Offering various specialized and general health checkups related to cardiology, oncology, neurology, BP, sugar and General Health, over two dozen doctors and health professionals and a large managerial team from CEPC and IGEP organized a mega-health camp at Jayapur.

Besides Jayapur, people from neighbouring villages too were benefited by the health camp. People kept reaching the camp till late in the evening. According to Mr Narendra Kumar Kaushik, General Manager, Medanta more than 525 people were given thorough health checkups, and medicines for a week have been provided to them.

Encouraged with the people’s response, Mr. Kuldeep R. Wattal, Chairman, CEPC and Dr. D. Kebschull, Chairman, IGEP  informed that they have decided to have more such camps in Bhadohi and Varanasi areas. 

The CEPC Chairman expressed the hope that the health camp will be beneficial to the weavers community and other villagers of the Jayapur and adjoining areas and assured that CEPC will lend its full support for such events in future as well.
