Lt Gen DDS Sandhu as Honorary ADC

Lt Gen (Dr) DDS Sandhu, Director General of Ordnance Services and Senior Colonel Commandant, AOC has been appointed as honorary ADC to the President of India. The General Officer is an alumni of National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the Army Ordnance Corps on 11 Jun 1967. He is a graduate of Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and has done his post graduation in Defence Studies from Madras University and M. Phil in Defence & Management Studies from Devi Ahilya Bai University, Indore. The General officer has an MBA in Materials Mgt from Rani Durgawati Vishwa Vidyalaya Jabalpur and MDBA from IIMM Pune. He is also a Fellow of British Institute of Management, Honorary fellow and member of Board of Studies of the Indian Institute of Materials Management and Patron of Asian Council of Logistics Management.

The General officer has an inclination towards research on vital issues of military logistics and acquired his Doctorate in “International Marketing of Indian Defence Products” from Punjabi University, Patiala. He has been awarded the “Honouris Causa” Doctorate of letters from Rani Durgawati Vishwa Vidyalaya Jabalpur in recognition of his emminence in the Materials Management field. In addition, the General is qualified on various professional courses on computer applications in the latest technologies such as Enterprise Java Beans, RDBMS Oracle etc.

The appointment of the General Officer as ADC to the President of India is another feather in the cap of General Officer and his illustrious career.
