Justice Om Prakash Dwivedi, a Judge of the Delhi High Court (retired), swore in as the Chairman of Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) here today. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of India administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Om Prakash Dwivedi at the Supreme Court Judges’ Assembly Hall after the Company Affairs Secretary Shri Anurag Goel read out the order of appointment. Shri Prem Chand Gupta, Minister for Company Affairs was also present on the occasion.
Justice Om Prakash Dwivedi, born on 01.04.1944, joined U.P.P.C.S. (Judicial) in April 1970. He joined the Delhi Judicial Service in November, 1971. Later, he was promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service in December, 1980 and was elevated as Judge of the Delhi High Court on 01.12.2000. Justice Dwivedi retired from Delhi High Court on Ist April, 2006.
