In order to bring efficiency and transparency in the “Scheme of Support to Voluntary Agencies for Adult Education & Skill Development”, separate portals have been developed for monitoring the activities of the Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSSs) and the State Resource Centres (SRCs).
The SRC Portal was developed through NIC and finalized in the year 2015. The SRC portal provides an interface to accept annual action plans online with a provision to approve, modify or reject the action plan with the remarks of the approving authority.
The JSS portal has also been developed through NIC in the year 2011. The JSS portal provides an interface to accept annual action plans online with a provision to approve, modify or reject the action plan with the remarks of the approving authority. Through this portal the progress and the details of the income and expenditure of JSSs and the beneficiaries’ details are reviewed.
The JSS portal is operational and the information uploaded by the JSSs is verified from the approved Action Plan. The information such as names of the vocational courses, batches, number of beneficiaries covered, expenditure incurred etc. including the results of the last three examinations has been examined.
The information pertaining to the SRCs is monitored manually.
This information was given by the Minister of State (HRD), Shri Upendra Kushwaha today in a written reply to a Lok Sabha question.
