The Government proposes to set up a group of Ministers to oversee the amendments of certain acts relating to the companies. These include amendments to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1956 and the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. The matter was considered at a recent Cabinet Meeting. It was decided that the matter be considered by a Group of Ministers. The constitution of the Group of Ministers is awaited.
