Flood Protection Works for Chikkamagalur District
The Planning Commission has given Investment clearance for the scheme- “Flood Protection works for the Banks of River Hemavathi at Banakal town and six village’s viz. Bankenahalli, Hyaragudda, Bakkihala, Mugrehalli, Kittlegrandi and Subramanya villages in Chikkamagalur district of Karnatakaâ€. The project is estimated to cost Rs 47.56 crore at 2010-11.
The project will have to be completed by the financial year 2012-13 and Plan accounts would be closed by 31st March 2013. Project may accordingly be executed as per the approved outlays in the State Annual Plans. The State Finance Department would restrict the expenditure to the approved cost and no additional expenditure beyond approved cost shall be permitted unless the revised estimate is got approved following the prescribed procedure.
