The Coast Guard has put forward new proposals for periodical flag meetings between Coast Guard and the Marine Security Agency of Pakistan.
This proposal suggests alternate flag meetings, onboard ship of Indian Coast Guard/Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, in the month of April and September. Such meetings will facilitate frequent Repatriation of the Apprehended fishermen of both countries.
This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri Rama Muni Reddy Sirigireddy in Rajya Sabha today.
