The Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes has condoled the death of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramkrishna Hegde. In his condolence message, Shri Fernandes described him as an outstanding statesman. He said that in passing away of Hegde the country has lost a seasoned parliamentarian, an able administrator and an outstanding politician. Mr. Fernandes said that Ramakrishna Hegde was instrumental in social revolution and his contribution during his tenure as Union Minister and the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission will be long remembered.
