Ed. CIL pays Rs. 1 crore dividend to government

Educational Consultants India Limited (Ed.CIL) a profit making Public Sector Enterprise under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development achieved a turnover of Rs. 42.21 crore with a new profit before tax of Rs. 2.99 crore during the year 2003-04. The Board of Directors of Ed.CIL declared a Dividend of Rs. 1 crore, which is 80% of the paid-up capital of the Company. Shri Arjun Singh, Minister for Human Resource Development received the dividend cheque on behalf of the Government of India, here today.

Ed.CIL is the only consultancy organisation in India offering a complete spectrum of services in the field of Education and Human Resource Development on a global basis. It is also a nodal agency of Government of India for promotion of Indian education abroad and had deputed Ed.CIL teams to 7 countries viz. Vietnam, Malaysia, China, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait during the year 2003-04 for offering admission to foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

Ed.CIL is a Miniratna PSE and has made major contributions to the Education Sector since Its inception in 1981 including its association in providing technical services for the establishment of prestigious instuitions in the country.
