Development of Dwarka Sub-city Delhi

DDA has reported that to provide drinking water at Dwarka out of 6 water tanks, 4 have been completed. Land for water treatment plant has been handed over to Delhi Jal Board. The work of cleanliness in Dwarka has been handed over to Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Street lighting has been provided on internal roads and Master Plan Roads of 30 m, 40 m and 60 m width developed till date.

4 Local Shopping Centers and 12 Convenient Shopping Centers have already been constructed. Marketing facilities are available in Sectors 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 & 12. Various activities to augment drinking water supply and to improve drainage facilities, sewerage facilities, street lighting, market facilities and road availability are under various stages of planning and execution. No exact time frame can be indicated as to the completion of all these activities in view of the various steps involved.

This information was given by Shri Saugata Roy, Minister of State for Urban Development in reply to a question by Shri Prasanta Kumar Majumdar, Shri Narahari Mahato, Shri Manohar Tirkey, Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal and Shri Nripendra Nath Roy in Lok Sabha Today.
