On the basis of the result of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I) - 2008, held by the Union Public Service Commission in February, 2008. 8831 candidates have been qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 126th, Course commencing in January, 2009 (ii) Naval Academy, Goa Course commencing in January, 2009 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course for 185th F(P) Course commencing in January, 2009 (iv) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai 89th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in April, 2009 and (v) Officers’ Training Academy, 3rd SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2009.
Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Centre near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/recruitment on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. in person or over telephone No.011-23385271/011-23381125/011-23098543 from this Centre.
The result will be available on the UPSC’s Website http://www.upsc.gov.in and on the PIB website http://pib.nic.in.
