Grants-in-aid amounting to Rs. 17.04 crore as balance of first instalment has been released by the Ministry of Rural Development to Five Districts of Orissa, as Central assistance for the implementation of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) during the current financial year (2007-2008) as per details below. An amount of Rs.4.54 crore has also been released as first instalment being equal to 60% of the total alloction of Rs.7.57 crore to Kendrapara Distt. of Orissa under the scheme.

The grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilized for approved items of works subject to the conditions laid down in the SGRY Guidelines. No deviation from the provisions of the Guidelines is permissible. The expenditure on implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Central and the State Government, respectively.
