Cabinet Secretary reviews arrangements in relief camps in Assam

The Cabinet Secretary today reviewed the relief and medical arrangements in the camps in Assam where people have gathered due to the recent clashes. Two teams comprising physician, gynaecologist, paediatrician, public health specialists, resident doctors and nurses have been airlifted from Delhi at 5.15 PM today. They will support the state government’s efforts to provide relief and immediate medical help to the people in the relief camps. The high level meeting chaired by the Cabinet Secretary reviewed all the other arrangements in a video conference with the Chief Secretary of Assam to ensure that food and other supplies were available in adequate measures.
