CIL Presents Rs.5400 Crore as Dividend to Government

Coal India Limited (CIL) presented Rs 5400.49 crore as dividend to the Government for the year 2011-12. The dividend cheque was presented to the Union Minister of Coal, Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal, by CMD of the company, Ms Zohra Chatterji here today in the presence of Secretary Coal and senior officials of the ministry here today.

CIL has made a substantial profit of Rs.10,774.79 crore during 2011-12, till December,2011.It declared total interim dividend of Rs.6000.55 crore for the period with turnover of about Rs.42,996.44 crore.
