The Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary company of the public sector Coal India Limited (CIL) has started observing quality week and month to motivate workers and officers for quality coal production. The Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL, Shri J.P. Sharma today distributed the prizes to the winners in the 'quality week' observed in February, 2004, in a function organised by the Quality Management Department at Ranchi.
Shri Sharma said that to maintain high standard in quality, quantity and size of coal to be provided to the consumers is our moral responsibility and it is the basic need of the business. He requested the CCL officers to maintain quality to the maximum level possible. He told that Ministry has given directives to supply to consumers 100 per cent crushed coal. He asked to install crusher at production point and stressed on its proper maintenance. The observance of week in February has been fruitful and CCL has decided to observe November 2004 as the 'Quality Month'.
