Availability of Medicines in Jan Aushadhi Stores

The basket of medicines presently being supplied through the Jan Aushadhi Stores are based on local ailments requirements generally demanded by the public. The Pharma Central Public Sector Undertakings are supplying the medicines currently. Depending on demand, the medicines are supplied and the list expanded. Sourcing of medicines through the small and medium sector units in the country to enlarge the basket of supply to the Jan Aushadhi Stores will also be explored as and when considered necessary.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Srikant Kumar Jena in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
