Ambassador of Congo meets Mines Minister

India is endowed with abundant mineral resources and is interested in foreign direct investment for its exploration and exploitation. It has expertise and experience of more than 150 years in the mineral exploration activity, said the Union Mines Minister, Shri Sis Ram Ola to the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr. Balumunene Nkuna Francois who called on him here yesterday.

The Ambassador briefed in detail regarding the availability of mineral resources in Congo and achievements of its mining industry. He said Congo foresees the Indian participation in the development of its mining sector. Shri Ola assured all help and cooperation and suggested joint efforts to study and explore avenues for Indian investment in the mining sector in Congo.
