167 candidates in fray for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in Phase –VII

25,874 polling stations set up for 2,36,38,798 electors in this phase

As many as 167 candidates are contesting for 13 Lok Sabha seats in UP in phase –VII of the General Elections- 2019. The constituencies going to polls in this phase are- Mahrajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Robertsganj. A total of 243 candidates had finally contested for these seats in the previous General Election – 2014.

As per the data sourced from Chief Electoral Officer (Uttar Pradesh) website today, there are a total of 2,36,38,798 electors in these 13 seats including 1,28,18,440 males, 1,08,18,931 females and 1426 third gender electors. A total of 25,874 polling stations have been set up for voting in this phase which will be held on 19th May, 2019.

It may be noted that the State of Uttar Pradesh has a total of 80 Lok Sabha constituencies which are going through seven phase polling in the current General Elections -2019. This is the last & seventh phase of the current General Election.
