As on 31st March, 2008, 160 District Disability Rehabilitation Centres are functioning in the country. So far Rs. 9.84 crore has been sanctioned/spent under the programme. There is a proposal to set up more DDRCs in the country, during 2008-09.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Smt. Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan in written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
