‘Chhuk Chhuk’ Rail Museum Day Celebrations-2008

The National Rail Museum, New Delhi is celebrating its 31st Museum Day on 2nd and 3rd February 2008. During the two day celebrations, visitors can witness a fully functional miniature live steam train, the ‘Indian Glory’ by the renowned model maker Shri Iqbal Ahmed who finds mention in the Guinness Book of World Records. Visitors will also have an experience to discover the museum with the Indian Steam Railway Society who will conduct guided tours of the museum every hour.

The programme for two day celebrations is designed in such a way that entire family can have fun filled experience. The main highlights of the celebrations include; live steam garden train, train modeling workshop, discover the world of stamps and discover the Railways through stamps in philately workshop, discover the trees of the museum in the Tree Walk conducted by Shri Pradip Krishen, the author of the famous book ‘Trees of Delhi’, discover the magical world of science by making toys with everyday household products, bird watching, Children’s films, handicrafts, food courts etc.
