Question : Expansion of CGHS Wellness Centres

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the present position of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) centres in the country along with the Statewise details thereof;

(b) whether there is any scheme for expansion of these centres;

(c) whether there is any proposal to set up a new CGHS centre in Bhandara, Maharashtra; and

(d) if so, the time by when the proposed centre is likely to become operational and if not, the reasons therefor?

(b): No.


(c) & (d): No. As per the existing norms, there has to be a minimum of 6000 CGHS card holders for setting up of a CGHS Wellness Centre in a new city.
