STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (A) & (B) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 81 FOR 08.02.2022 ASKED BY DR. SANJEEV KUMAR SINGARI, SHRI MAGUNTA SREENIVASULU REDDY REGARDING “FAME-II SCHEME”.
(a): Sir, Phase-II of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME India) is being implemented for a period of 5 years w.e.f. 01st April, 2019 with a total budgetary support of Rs. 10,000 crores. Under Phase-II of FAME-India Scheme, Rs. 1000 Cr. is allocated for the development of charging infrastructure. This Ministry has sanctioned 2,877 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in 68 cities across 25 States/UTs. Further, 1576 charging stations across 9 Expressways and 16 Highways under Phase II of FAME India Scheme has also been sanctioned. The state-wise details of charging stations as sanctioned under phase-II of FAME-India Scheme including Andhra Pradesh are attached at ANNEXURE.
(b): The Ministry of Heavy Industries had also sanctioned 520 Charging Stations/ for developing charging Infrastructure under Phase-I of FAME-India Scheme. Under FAME India Scheme I & II, a total of 475 charging stations have been installed as on 31stJan 2022 as per ANNEXURE.
Further, as per information received from Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, 1536 electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) Retail Outlets (ROs) in the country as on 01.01.2022.
