Question : TOLL TAX FROM PRIVATE VEHICLES

(a) whether the Government maintain data regarding share percentage of toll tax collected from private vehicles, two-wheelers, buses and big commercial vehicles separately;

(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;

(c) whether the Government proposes to do away with toll collection from private vehicles, two wheelers and buses; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the time by which it is likely to be put in place?

(b) Does not arise.

(c) No, Madam. However, as per provision of National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, two wheelers are already exempted from payment of user fee on National Highways.

(d) Does not arise.
