(a) whether the Government propose to include more districts under Central Rural
Sanitation Programme in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, district-wise, State-wise particularly in Himachal
Pradesh; and

(a) & (b) Yes, Sir. Government of India propose to sanction Total Sanitation Campaign
(TSC) projects for all districts of the country, including those in Himachal Pradesh.
(c) Total Sanitation Campaign is a demand driven programme under which no
a-priori state wise allocations are made. A TSC project is sanctioned based on the
project report submitted by the State Government/District implementing agency in
accordance with TSC funding norms.
