Question : PMGSY PROGRAMME IN ANDHRA PRADESH



(a) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has requested the Union Government to issue clearance for a shelf of projects costing Rs. 500 crores meeting the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY);

(b) if so, whether Andhra Pradesh Government has entered into an agreement with the UTI Bank for providing Rs. 500 crores to leverage PMGSY programme in the State;

(c) if so, whether all necessary papers in this regard have been submitted to the Ministry;

(d) if so, whether Ministry has been requested to issue clearance for the proposal ;

(e) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the final clearance will be given; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefore?

(a) & (b) As intimated by Government of Andhra Pradesh, UTI Bank has made a proposal to the State Government offering to arrange for a loan of Rs. 500 crores for construction of rural roads. However no agreement has been finalised.
