Question : Implementation of SFURTI

(a) whether Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is being implemented in Haryana;

(b) if so, the details of the outcomes achieved in Haryana especially in Rohtak and Jhajjar districts in terms of the number of clusters of traditional industries and artisans organized, the number of traditional industry artisans and rural entrepreneurs provided sustained employment and the number of products supported for marketability, design intervention and improved packaging; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes Sir, the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is being implemented in Haryana.

(b): Under SFURTI, 5 clusters have been approved in the State of Haryana, the details of which is given at Annexure-1. Total 3429 artisans from traditional industries are being supported through these clusters with a Government of India assistance of around Rs. 1574 lakh. These clusters are set up in textiles and handicraft sectors with marketing, designing and packaging support for products such as zari – jutti and leather goods, hand woven carpets, durrie and home furnishing items, sarees, handmade paper, etc.

(c): Does not arise.
