(a) & (b) Presumably, Honâble Member is seeking information regarding
bridges on National Highways in the State of Orissa. Funds for the
development of National Highways including that for construction of
bridges are allocated and released State wise. Allocation of funds to
National Highways in the State of Orissa and expenditure incurred
during the last two years and allocation in the current year are as
below:

National Highways Authority of India has taken up implementation
of 4-laning of NH-5 and NH-60 in Orissa under Golden Quadrilateral of
National Highways Development Project. Additional two lane bridges
are being constructed at various locations in the section for 4-laning
of the road. The Golden Quadrilateral including the bridges is
targeted to be substantially completed by December 2003.
