Question : SSC EXAMS



(a) the number of applicants selected by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of Stenographers Grade-`C` during the last three years out of which opted Hindi language as a medium of their examination, year-wise;

(b) whether the appointment letters have not been issued to the successful candidates;

(c) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(d) the steps being taken by the Government to issue appointment letters to the successful candidates?

(a) : This examination was not held during the years 1997 and 1998. In 1999, the recruitment of Grade `C` Stenographers was included in the Combined Matric Level Examination, the final result of which is yet to be decleared. The relevant information in respect of last three recruitments done by Staff Selection Commission is indicated here-in-below:-

(b),(c) and (d) : The Staff Selection Commission being the recruiting organisation sends dossiers of successful candidates to the user Ministries/Departments/Organisations reporting the vacancies. The indenting Ministries/Departments etc. issue offer of appointment/appointment letters to candidates after completing pre-appointment formalities as per rules/procedures, like medical examination and verification of character, antecedents, etc.
